In primul rand cateva informatii despre ulei.

"...this makes multigrades an easy and popular year-round choice for drivers who experience hot summers and harsh winters. Multigrades are easily recognized by the dual viscosity rating (i.e. 10W-30 where the 10W is the low temperature or winter designation and the 30 is the high temperature designation). It is the motor oil viscosity modifier additive that produces a thickening effect at high temperatures but is dormant at low temperatures. "

"Among the many performance advantages that synthetic oils offer is their ability to remain stable at high temperatures (under which conventional oils begin to break down) and remain fluid at low temperatures (under which conventional oils begin to thicken). This provides optimum lubrication at extreme temperatures, reducing wear for a cleaner, more efficient engine. "

Deci ca sa inteleaga toata lumea. Majoritatea uleiurilor gasite astazi sunt multigrad care se comporta diferit la temperaturi scazute fata de temperaturi ridicate. De exemplu, in cazul 10W-40, 10W este vascozitatea la temp. joase iar 40 la temperaturi ridicate. Uleiurile multigrad contin un aditiv ce modifica vascozitatea care produce un efect de ingrosare la temperaturi ridicate dar "hiberneaza" la temperaturi mai scazute.

Al doilea paragraf spune ca printre avantajele  uleiului sintetic una din ele este aceea ca  ramane stabil la temperaturi inalte si ramane fluid la temperaturi coborate. Acest lucru produce lubrefierea la temperaturi extreme reducand uzura..."

In al doilea rand vreau sa va intreb daca credeti ca este necesara montarea unui radiator de ulei aditional (care sa raceasca uleiul prin aer-ul ce vine din fatza masinii) pe langa radiatorul de ulei existent care raceste sau mai bine zis aduce uleiul la temperatura apei din motor care in cele mai rele conditii ajunge in jurul temperaturii de 100 de grade.

Rau nu face sigur. La motoarele turbo cred ca e recomandat sa ai unul montat avand in vedere ca uleiul trece si prin turbina. Dar la motoarele aspirate ? E o investitie justificata ?

GTI-urile aveau din nastere un radiator de ulei "pe aer". Intre timp s-a inventat racitorul de ulei "pe apa". Ai sa te gandesti la radiator atunci cand ai sa vezi ca mergi cu motorul in asa fel ca stai cu becul de la ulei aprins tot timpul (asta in cazul in care nu-ri pui si tu vreun ceas de temp si pres de ulei). Deci, nu te preocupa... inca.
